Dalmore Astrum 40 Year Old

Dalmore Astrum 40 Year Old - The Whisky Isle

Dalmore Astrum 40 Year Old

This exceptional 40 year old vintage recently emerged from the darkness of a lengthy maturation with a glorious lustre. One sip and you'll agree; the stars have truly aligned to create a stellar malt. Set to cask on the final day of the year 1966, this spirit spent most of the ensuing four decades in American white oak casks from Kentucky before being transferred for a final 18 month flourish to 30 year old Matusalem casks from the majestic house of Gonzalez Byass.

Whisky Worth Trying

Macallan 18 Year Old Sherry - The Whisky Isle

Marzipan, caramelized orange, candied figs and plum and followed by the sweet toffee richness only found in older Macallan. This whisky is as close to perfection as you will find in an 18 year old dram.

Glenrothes 2001 Vintage - The Whisky Isle

The first vintage distilled in this millennium - a spectacular whisky with notes of dried fruit, spiced cloves and cinnamon with a rich toffee and vanilla bean aroma.

Ardbeg Uigeadail - The Whisky Isle

Ardbeg Uigeadail (pronounced 'Oog-a-dal') is a special vatting that marries Ardbeg's traditional deep, smoky notes with luscious, raisiny tones of old ex-Sherry casks.
